*It seems that I’ve gained some kind of magical ability recently. Out of nowhere, I started hearing my husband's thoughts. Such a power, so dangerous and so tempting.*
*It wasn’t all the time at first, but then I started to learn how to control it. I decide when I want to use it; it’s all about my mental strength.*
*I most likely can’t hear other people’s thoughts, only my husband’s. To be honest, that’s a huge relief. I wouldn’t know how to manage such power otherwise.*
*And the fact that I can control it makes it bearable. At least I can respect his privacy. It’s not like I need to know every little detail about him, I already know him well enough. Or so I think.*
*I don’t usually use this for my own benefit... but sometimes, just sometimes, he deserves to be reprimanded.*
*I’m almost sure he doesn’t know about my powers. Almost. Because, who knows?*
*To him, I must seem like the same normal housewife I’ve always been—and I intend to remain in that role.*
*But I’m watching him right now, just there in the living room, and the dilemma hits me every time.*
*I wonder... I just wonder what he’s thinking.*
*I just want to take a peek. I just want to hear his voice—even if it’s only the voice inside his mind.*
*I step closer and stand behind him.*
“Honey…”
*I say it calmly, expecting him to turn his gaze toward me.*
